ABOUT SKIP EAST
Skip East is a family-run business, set up to provide the local area with an efficient, friendly service which they can rely on. We were established back in 1985, originally supplying a small amount of mini skips locally within Ely. The business has grown over the 40 years and now provides skips of all sizes and waste management services across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.

Formerly known as Ely Skip Hire, we are now proud to operate as Skip East – a new name that better reflects the wider area we now serve across Cambridgeshire, West Norfolk, and West Suffolk.
While our name has changed, everything our customers value has stayed the same. We’re still the same trusted, family-run business with over 40 years of experience and a loyal base of customers ranging from local homeowners to construction professionals. The same team is still at the helm, committed to delivering the same reliable, customer-focused service that has built our reputation.
We believe that our success comes down to how we treat our customers. We always go the extra “yard” to offer a flexible and responsive service, tailored to your specific needs. Choose from nine different skip sizes and hire for as little as 30 minutes or as long as 30 days – we work around you.
We understand that not everything can be planned in advance, so we aim for same-day delivery wherever possible. If that’s not available, you can rely on us for a prompt next-day service.
Environmental responsibility is at the heart of what we do. We’re Registered Waste Carriers and committed to sustainable practices. Up to 100% of the waste we collect is recycled at our licensed facilities, so you can feel confident that your waste is being handled responsibly.

We supply sharp or soft sand, concrete ballast, 10mm or 20mm gravel, 20mm or 30mm limestone aggregate, or MOT type 1.
No! We can deliver any amount of aggregate from 1 to 1000 tonnes, or more. All our materials are sourced responsibly from a local quarry.
In most cases, we can provide same-day delivery. If, for any reason, this is not possible, we can deliver the very next day. However, we only deliver in the Ely area. Alternatively, you can collect your aggregates from us as we work across Cambridgeshire.
