What can I put in my skip?

Your 8 yard skip is suitable for garden waste, scrap metal, household waste, hardcore, rubble, paper, wood, general dry waste, plastic, bricks, concrete and soil.

Bear in mind that there are weight limits, so it’s not advised that you completely fill your skip with heavier inert waste, such as soil, concrete and rubble.

Another thing to note is that inert waste, such as soil and bricks, should not be mixed with household waste.

Please note that there are items you are not permitted to put in a skip. These include: perishable waste, large tree trunks, fluorescent light tubes, mattresses, tyres, medical waste, batteries, TV screens, computer monitors, fridges, freezers, paint, liquids, oil, fuel, aerosols, gas canisters, asbestos, hazardous or toxic waste and explosives.
